The story is told through multiple perspectives, including those of Rowan's mother and father, as well as a detective investigating the case. This allows for a detailed look at the events leading up to Rowan's disappearance and the various theories about what happened to her. One thing that stood out to me was the way in which Lisa Jewell crafted a sense of tension throughout the book. The author kept me guessing until the very end, with many twists and turns along the way. I found myself constantly second-guessing my own theories about what had happened to Rowan and wondering if I would ever be able to solve the mystery. Another aspect of the book that I enjoyed was the character development. The characters were well-rounded and relatable, making it easy for me to become invested in their stories. I particularly appreciated the way in which Lisa Jewell explored the complex relationships between Rowan's parents and the detective investigating the case. Overall, "Then She Was Gone" was a gripping mystery novel that kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end.
