The books in this series are Skink--No Surrender (Skink Series), Squirm, Native Tongue (Skink Book 2), Stormy Weather (Skink Book 3), and Razor Girl: A novel. The first book in the series, Skink--No Surrender, introduces us to the protagonist, James Sinclair Jr., also known as "Squirm." He is a young boy who has grown up on the run with his father, James Sinclair Sr., a notorious art thief. The novel follows their adventures as they try to evade the authorities and solve a series of mysterious thefts that have been plaguing New York City for years. The second book in the series, Native Tongue (Skink Book 2), picks up where Skink--No Surrender leaves off. Squirm is now living with his aunt and uncle, who are trying to keep him away from his father's criminal activities. However, when a new case comes across their desk that involves the theft of an ancient artifact, Squirm can't resist getting involved. The third book in the series, Stormy Weather (Skink Book 3), finds Squirm and his friends on a mission to find a missing treasure that was buried centuries ago. Along the way, they encounter various obstacles and challenges, including dangerous storms and treacherous terrain. However, with their wits and skills, they are able to overcome these hurdles and ultimately discover the treasure. The final book in the series, Razor Girl: A novel, is a standalone mystery that follows Squirm as he tries to solve a case involving a missing girl who was kidnapped by an infamous criminal known only as "The Razor." The novel takes place over the course of one night and follows Squirm's efforts to track down the girl before it's too late. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this collection of mystery and thriller novels by Trenton Lee Stewart. Each book in the series is well-written with engaging characters that you can't help but root for. The plots are intricate and full of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. One thing I particularly appreciate about these novels is their ability to blend elements of mystery, thriller, and adventure into one cohesive story. Each book in the series has its own unique tone and style, but they all share a common thread of excitement and danger that keeps readers engaged from start to finish. Another aspect of these novels that I found particularly impressive is their attention to detail when it comes to the art world. Trenton Lee Stewart clearly did his research on the subject matter, and this knowledge shines through in each book. The descriptions of the artwork and the heists are so vivid and believable that you feel like you're right there with Squirm and his crew as they pull off their daring escapes. In conclusion, I highly recommend these mystery and thriller novels by Trenton Lee Stewart to anyone who enjoys a good adventure story.
