The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is a novel by Mark Haddon that tells the story of Christopher Boone, an autistic teenager who investigates the death of his neighbor’s dog. The author has done an excellent job in exploring themes such as autism, grief, and loss. I particularly enjoyed how the novel challenges traditional perceptions of autism and provides insight into the mind of a person with this condition. The Handmaid's Tale is a dystopian novel by Margaret Atwood that explores the life of Offred, a handmaiden in the Republic of Gilead, where women are stripped of their rights and forced to bear children for the ruling class.
