The set includes six different films that cover various aspects of the war, including two DVDs featuring Elem Klimov's "Come and See" (also known as "Idi i Smotri"). Overall, I found this collection to be an excellent addition to my home video library, with each film offering a unique perspective on one of history's most significant events. One of the standout films in this set is undoubtedly Klimov's "Come and See." This two-DVD set includes both the original Russian language version and an English subtitled version, making it accessible to viewers who may not be fluent in Russian. The film follows a young boy named Wojciech Has as he joins a group of Soviet partisans fighting against Nazi forces during World War II. As the story unfolds, we see the horrors of war through Has's innocent eyes, making for an incredibly emotional and thought-provoking viewing experience. Another film in this set that I found particularly compelling is "Requiem pour un massacre." This documentary explores the 1965 My Lai Massacre, which took place during the Vietnam War. The film features interviews with survivors of the event, as well as footage from the scene of the crime. It's a powerful reminder of the atrocities that can occur when soldiers are given too much power and not enough oversight. In addition to these two films, this set also includes "Agony," which follows the story of a young woman named Agnes who is tortured by her captors during World War II. The film is incredibly intense and emotional, with some truly harrowing scenes that will leave viewers shaken. Overall, I found this collection to be an excellent addition to my home video library.
